Sinus Floor Augmentation and Simultaneous Implant Placement, Part I: The 1-Stage Approach
Osteotome sinus floor augmentation is a simple and conservative technique to increase the bone height on the sinus floor. In this report, a patient with a bone height of 5 to 6 mm in the extracted site of #3 was simultaneously treated with the osteotome sinus floor elevation technique and nonsubmerged implant placement. At 1-year follow-up, the entire length of the 10-mm-long implant was covered with new bone and the implant was solid and functional.Abstract
